The Quest Begins

Hello everyone,
Our quest will begin at 7:30 am at Fawn River meats on Sunday morning. I will be posting videos every hour to hour and a half to this blog to allow you to follow. I will also be answering any questions and responding to comments to this blog. We will be at Glen Oaks Community College from 9am Sunday until serving time on Monday at 4pm. So this is going to be a marathon experience but still a lot of fun. Please join us in our momentous occasion with our "Quest for the World's Largest Meatball".

How many pounds is this meatball going to be?

The meatball will weigh in the beginning around 400 pounds. We will be doing a weight prediction 50/50 for just a dollar during the event. So come on over and take your best guess. The closest guess to the weight will get half of the proceeds of the 50/50.

So how is the meatball cooking? Is there a lot of grease in the meat?

The meatball is going great! Everyone needs to come and see this. Very minimal grease. Steve you should come see for yourself.

There is very little grease as of yet. Though it is cold and a little rainy out we are still out here having fun. One of these days I will get the video files small enough to upload. But as of yet we are having fun.

It smells so good. I just checked on the progress and it was up to 122.3 degrees for an internal temperature. So it is coming along.
