Final weight

The final weight of the meatball....drum roll please....is 254 lbs. So tentatively we have the world record. This is before a review from Guinness. Check back as soon as we know you will know. Thank you to our community for all your support. We couldn't do this without you.

Slight delay

The serving of the meatball will be delayed by approxiametly an hour. So serving will start at 5pm instead of 4pm. Sorry for the inconvience.

The 120 mark

We reached the 120 degree mark around 10am. The temperature is climbing by about 6 degrees an hour.

moving along now

We started at the temp of 40 degrees and am now to 52 degrees. So we are moving along. Thank you for following. There will be less posts tonight unless we hit a momentous temperature sometime during the night.

Moving along

The meatball is still cooking, moving along. It is getting dark and we are firing up the lights and heaters to keep warm. But still having fun even though it is a little chilly.

Some facutly and students have ventured out on this cold day to come and say hi and to join in on some of the festivities. Lots of fun :)

The Quest Begins

Hello everyone,
Our quest will begin at 7:30 am at Fawn River meats on Sunday morning. I will be posting videos every hour to hour and a half to this blog to allow you to follow. I will also be answering any questions and responding to comments to this blog. We will be at Glen Oaks Community College from 9am Sunday until serving time on Monday at 4pm. So this is going to be a marathon experience but still a lot of fun. Please join us in our momentous occasion with our "Quest for the World's Largest Meatball".
